Exploring the Innovative Design Approach of Che Wang and Colette Kuo

The Sunny Apartment, located in Taichung, Taiwan, is a residential interior design project that stands out for its innovative approach. The designers, Che Wang and Colette Kuo, have reimagined the typical Taiwanese housing unit, transforming it into an ideal home that prioritizes light, air, and sound. The design was inspired by the concept of "flowing space," "flowing air," and "sound fields," creating a dynamic, fluid shared space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

The designers introduced a new space order of a pentagon into the plan, resulting in a fluid and dynamic shared space. The Sunny Apartment project was executed over a period of two years, from July 2016 to January 2018, with a construction area of 200 square meters. The design team, led by Che Wang and Colette Kuo, included several other talented designers and consultants who contributed to the project's success. The team also collaborated with Sustainable Building Engineering for Design Lab for simulation consultation, ensuring the design's sustainability and efficiency.
